Safety advice for using gas heaters
Gas heaters have become the ideal choice for heating outdoor areas, such as restaurant and café terraces or private terraces. There are now a wide range of models, both in terms of design and heating power, to suit all tastes and needs.
However, since these are gas-powered heaters, there are certain precautions that must be taken.
- It is advisable to use propane gas cylinders. It is best for the cylinders to have a safety valve against excess pressure, using reducers with a cut-off in the event of a fault in the supply tube.
- When switched on, it should only be used outdoors, with at least 25% of the area being open. When switched off, it can be stored indoors.
- If it is not possible to store the heater indoors, the protective cover must be used to protect it from the weather. Please note: the cover can only be placed after the heater has cooled down completely.
Company advice:
At Chama Vermelha, we care about the consumer experience. We take into account the possible adversities that may arise during the use of our products. Here are some of the particularities that we take into account:
- We design protective covers tailored to each heater, with covering for the transport wheels and pressure springs that help when removing the cover.
- We offer the possibility of using small elevating feet to avoid direct contact with the wet floor or to allow water to drain without damaging the base of the heater.
- We also supply smaller gas cylinders (5kg) in cardboard boxes, to facilitate their storage, to have as a spare, for a quick and simple change (e.g.: during a party or event).
